Teletherapy Guide for Washington

General Information -
All Licensures

Practitioners holding an active Washington license may provide teletherapy services to Washington residents. Washington Telemedicine Act prohibits the use of audio-only telemedicine. Department of Health Requirements for practitioners of telehealth beginning January 1, 2021.

Teletherapy included with a state license. Must abide by all in-person care standards. See Board of Marriage and Family Therapists for up to date information on teletherapy including guidelines and required training.

Counseling Information
